Privacy Policy
Short version: Ghar Mandir does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party trackers. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Ghar Mandir has no server, no backend, and no telemetry. The app does not create an account, does not ask for your email or phone number, and does not track how you use it.
What stays on your device
Everything the app needs to function is stored locally on the device:
- Your daily schedule (aarti times and days)
- Any audio files you import into the library
- Language, theme, text-size, and other preferences
- Custom light scenes you name and configure
None of this is sent to us or to any third party. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
iOS system integrations
Ghar Mandir uses standard Apple frameworks. Each one is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours:
- Local Notifications — used to fire scheduled aarti alerts. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device by iOS.
- HomeKit — used to trigger the light scenes you configure. All HomeKit communication is between the app and your local Home hub / accessories, encrypted and mediated by Apple.
- Background Audio — used so scheduled aartis can play when the screen is off or another app is in front.
We do not receive any data from these systems. The app asks for permission the first time each is used; you can revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Audio you import
Audio files you add to the library are copied into the app's private container on your device. We cannot see, access, or copy them. They are not backed up to us, uploaded, or shared.
Analytics and crash reports
The app does not include any first-party analytics or crash reporting.
Apple's own App Store analytics (aggregate download counts, opt-in device diagnostics you send to Apple) are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy and are not associated with your identity when we see them.
Children
Ghar Mandir does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. There is nothing to collect.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what the app does with data, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. The policy in effect at the time you use the app is the one that applies.
