LeaveTime — When to Leave, for iPhone

LeaveTime combines your flight's status, live traffic, security-wait estimates, parking and walking time, and your own buffer into one recommendation — LEAVE BY 4:42 PM — and shows you exactly how it got there. Every number is labeled with where it came from.

Getting started

Tap +, choose where you're starting from, pick your airport and date, then pick your flight from the departures board. If a flight number operates more than one leg that day, LeaveTime asks which one you're on. The LEAVE BY time appears on the home screen and updates itself as things change.

Why is my leave time earlier than I expected?

Hard deadlines always win. Bag-drop cutoffs and gate-close times are fixed, so LeaveTime plans backward from them and adds only a modest buffer. Tap the trip to see the minute-by-minute timeline — each stage is marked Live, Historical, or Estimate so you can judge it yourself.

Delays

A delay only moves your leave time when it is large and confirmed; small or early-stage delays are treated cautiously because they often shrink. The status pill on the trip card shows what the airline is currently reporting.

Live security waits

Where an airport publishes checkpoint waits, LeaveTime uses them and labels them Live. Elsewhere it uses historical estimates, labeled Historical. It never presents an estimate as live data.

Location

Driving time needs a starting point. Choose Current Location, search for an address, or skip it — without one, LeaveTime assumes you're already near the airport and says so on the card.

Subscription & restoring purchases

Everything is free for your first week. After that, LeaveTime Pro is $9.99 per year, billed by Apple. To restore a purchase on a new device, open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

Widgets and Live Activity

Add the LeaveTime widget from your Home Screen, and your active trip's LEAVE BY time appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island as departure approaches.

Deleting a trip

Swipe a trip left on the home screen, or open it and choose Remove from the menu. Trips are stored only on your device.
