Privacy Policy

Nitya Niyam ("the app") is designed to respect your privacy completely. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
We do not collect your data
Nitya Niyam does not collect any personal information on our servers. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We never see your data.
Information stored on your device
The app keeps the following on your device so it can work for you:
- Which ahnik items you've chosen, your daily progress, completions, and streak.
- Your reminder settings and appearance preferences.
- Your place in the daily readings, Vachanamrut, Swamini Vato and Jivan Charitra, and which items you've completed.
This information is removed from your device if you delete the app. If iCloud sync is on (see below), a copy is also kept in your iCloud account so it can be restored to a new device; you can remove that copy by turning iCloud off for Nitya Niyam in your device's Settings.
iCloud sync
So your progress and settings can follow you to a new device, the app can store the items listed above in your own iCloud account using Apple's iCloud key-value storage. This data lives in your private iCloud — it is handled entirely by Apple, is not sent to us, and we cannot see it. It is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. If you're signed out of iCloud, everything simply stays on your device. You can stop this sync at any time by turning iCloud off for Nitya Niyam in your device's Settings.
Audio downloads
Some longer audio (the Vachanamrut and Pramukh Swami Maharaj Jivan Charitra) is streamed and cached, or downloaded for offline use, from our content server. These requests fetch only the audio file you are playing or downloading; they are not linked to you or used to identify you. Cached and downloaded audio is stored on your device and can be cleared at any time in the app's Settings.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. No reminder information is sent to us or anyone else.
Children's privacy
The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
